Riverside is the story of three friends.

Although very different from one another, they shared a common desire and appreciation for the history of the Caledonia Mill.

They shared an appreciation for the community around it; a respect for those people entrusted to preserve the memory of the Mill for all the years gone by.

On a handshake that remains as the contract between them to this day, the friends worked with the community and its stakeholders to present the Caledonia Mill along the Grand River in Caledonia as you can see it today.

At the very beginning of this journey, an elderly woman was heard saying

“What a loss it would be to the identity of Caledonia, if the Mill no longer stood there along the grand.”

The desire of this woman was made part of the cornerstone on which this Mill was rebuilt. It is our hope that she together with each of you, enjoy the splendor of the Mill along the Grand. Both for its history of a time long past, and its beauty along the banks of this majestic river, for generations to come.
